The Problem
Thousands of children in India are living in institutional care, waiting years for a decision about their future. The process of confirming a child's situation is slow, inconsistent, and poorly documented. Whether family exists, whether reunification is possible, whether a child is truly alone, these questions often go unanswered for years. Children grow up in institutions while their cases remain unresolved.
The Solution
Bala Foundation does one thing: independent, thorough investigation of each child's circumstances. We trace families, speak to communities, gather evidence, and produce clear structured reports that courts and child welfare authorities can actually rely on.
We don't place children or facilitate adoptions. We find out the truth and document it properly so the right decision can be made without years of unnecessary delay.
Where We Are
Bala Foundation is an Australian not-for-profit currently establishing its first partnerships in India. We are in early development and looking for experienced board members, advisors, and collaborators who care deeply about child welfare.
